Andrew is now an independent economist, investment consultant and trustee. He is a N.E.D. For Pheonix plc sitting on their Independent Governance Committee for workplace pensions; he is a Trustee for CBF, one of the three Church of England national investing bodies; he is an investment consultant to the Health Foundation endowment, an investment adviser to the wealth manager Progeny, a trustee at the Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh, and a board member for the Devlin Mambo consultancy.
Andrew has long been interested in academia, having been a member of Court of Heriot Watt University, and also innovation, having been a Governing Board member of the Technology Strategy Board, now Innovate UK. He received an O.B.E. in 2015 for ‘services to innovation and the economy’.
